Assanis Elected as SAE Fellow

assanis,Professor Dennis Assanis Professor Dionissios (Dennis) N. Assanis ( ) has been recently elected as a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers. This membership grade provides a means to recognize outstanding engineering creativity and leadership of members and to enhance the status of SAE's contributions to the profession and the public-at-large. It was established as a prestigious and honorary grade to recognize individuals whose technical or scientific achievements have brought about meaningful advances in the fields of technology covered by SAE.

Since the inception of the Fellow Grade in 1976, SAE has elected a total of approximately 450 Fellows. In the interest of maintaining the high standards and prestige of the Fellow Grade, the SAE Board of Directors has chosen to elect only 15 candidates to be honored this year from a pool of over 80,000 SAE members worldwide.
