Violi receives 2013 Henry Russel Award

Angela VioliAssociate Professor Angela Violi has been selected to receive a 2013 Henry Russel Award.

This award is conferred annually to recognize mid-career faculty who have demonstrated an impressive record of accomplishment in research, scholarship and/or creativity, as well as their conspicuous ability as a teacher. The Henry Russel Award is meant to acknowledge their accomplishments and encourage their potential for even more notable achievements in the future that benefit the University community.

Violi is also an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, as well as the leader of the Multiscale Molecular Science and Engineering Lab. Her lab's research focuses on multiscale processes occurring in reactive systems, with applications crosscutting combustion, nanoscience and biology.
